INTRODUCTION
Vibroacoustic and vibrotactile therapies use sound and mechanical vibration to deliver physical stimulation to the body. Vibroacoustic therapy generally involves low-frequency sound or vibration delivered through specialized surfaces such as beds, chairs, mats or tables. Vibrotactile therapy applies mechanical vibration directly through contact with the body.
Research has examined these approaches in areas including pain, relaxation, stress, movement and nervous-system responses. The effects can vary depending on the frequency, intensity, duration and method of delivery.

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH & PUBLISHED STUDIES
A review of 20 studies examining vibroacoustic therapy and low-frequency vibration in adults experiencing pain. The researchers found substantial variation among the studies and concluded that more rigorous research is needed to determine the effects and optimal treatment parameters.
